This site was started in late '01, early '02 by a few friends working (and looking for work) in the music business. As we all know, 2001 & 2002 wasn't/isn't the best time to be looking for a job and the site started as a single page that offered a list of links to job boards, label sites
and other employment leads. I put it up on a server and let friends use it to quickly scan through the open positions on the internet.
From there the page grew a little every day, with more and more friends using it and more and more links being added. By summer I thought it would be great if employers could just post
their own openings for all of us - so that's what we set up. I integrated a posting function that basically turned the page of links into a job board and we put it up for free for everyone to use.
We've just added a bunch of other categories so people can continue getting their word out there quickly, whether it's for jobs, volunteer stuff, open rehearsal space, cool shows or whatever.
Our general mission at this point is to create an online spot for music folks to get a helping hand and use FREE tools to get the word out about anything of interest to the entire group. Just like the past year, everything here is still FREE, so please use as often as you like. If you like what you see please do us a favor and tell a friend.
